Andalusian Cortijo, or traditional Andalusian farmhouse, built in 1911 and located in the Sierra Nevada Natural and National Reserve in Granada (Spain). The Cortijo is located 7 km (4.37mi) from the monumental “Alhambra” city center, 18 km (11.25mi) from the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort and 50 km (31.25mi) from the beach (the Costa Tropical). There are regular bus services running to the city center every day. The Cortijo has been totally refurbished by the owners and every item is handcrafted. It is placed on the bottom of a mountain belonging to a mountain range, and is totally integrated within the landscape.
The surroundings are awe-inspiring. You will find a small river in the nearby, a poplar grove, an ecological orchard with fruit trees and vegetables - that you can taste and eat free of charge-, gardens, flowerpots with automatic irrigation system, terraces and parts of the mountain providing an atmosphere of tranquility and intimacy. The house has a microbiological and eco- filter system, biomass eco-boiler (providing hot water and heating), a fireplace, a solarium, a 10x4m (32x13 ft) pool, double barbecue and free parking in the open air.
